Is it just me? Retail vs. Demo

Is it just me or does the retail version play better than the demo? The retail game is smoother, more detail and I'm getting better frame rates than I did with the demo. Why is that? I've used the same settings from demo too retail. It's not that I'm complaining, just pleasantly surprised

it's not just you, i noticed it too.

I think the Demo is actually a few builds old. its been around for a while and i think crytek was buisy optimizing the full game. either way, the improvement in performance made me very happy, its much smoooooother.

Pretty sure the demo was the client from back in late summer-ish. Sadly though, the demo really isn't a good judgment on how well your system will handle the game. Later on, things will get much more taxing.

I noticed nothing. Island would be perfect if my frames stayed like that, but later levels..ugh.

Just saw a review that claims the opposite: "The Crysis single-player demo and the retail game perform very much the same."

Performance seems better for me then on the demo. Everything on medium except for clouds which is at low at 1280by1024.

I can get the game to play on high across the board @ 1280*800, the demo didnt get close to that
