    so..with my system, i shouldn't even bother?

    i have:

    X2 4800+
    3 gig pc3200 (kingston hyper)
    Rappy's in a RAID0
    320meg 8800GT
    22" LG @ 1680X1050
    XP PRO SP2


    so..should i throw down the $40 or not...

    i don't even know what the hell the game is about, but after reading a couple of these threads, i don't wanna waste money..


    what ya'll think?

    Your machine is certainly powerful enough to run the game - maybe not at the highest settings. If you liked Farcry you will like Crysis. The games are pretty similar, with Crysis having better graphics.
    Overclock your CPU and your GT a bit and you will fare a little better with frame rates.
    Try the demo.

    I'm assuming that's a GTS and not a GT.

    You can run it fine. You wont be able to max it out of course, but it wont be bad. Whether it's worth it will be more about whether you like the playing style.

    A must buy for sure. The game will look even better with future systems. My PC made the minimum requirements and it still looks great.

    I'd say the game is worth picking up if you like single player games. Its pretty enjoyable, and the destructible environments really do add a cool dimension to the game. Don't bother if you're looking for a good multiplayer.

    ah...i do not know Farcry, but if its multi-player sux, then i a out..

    i am having a freakin blast CoD4...i run it completely maxed out to the hilt at 1680X1050 and it never even hiccups...

    i have never, ever even tried the single player on any game i own..BF2, 2142, CoD4, CS..

    i just don't really "do" single player..after all, who would get to hear me smack talkin'..!! hahahahaha

    Check back in like a month or two when mods start coming out though, hopefully some of them make the game worthwhile.

    you probly can run everything on high just dont put on aa
    i tryed put aa on but it just slows down so much

    He could not run everything at high. Medium, with a few settings low. I have C2D 2.4ghz 8800GTS 32mb, and I run at 1680x1050, and the game kills my system, high settings result in about 10fps.

    i miss read the cpu speed
    i have a system that is simalar too his but with a 6000+
    i am able to run the game on high with no aa

    The people working on this mod are taking it very serious and are going to make make one of the best looking Multiplayer games out there. It also has a very promising Tactical Strike game type along with many other's that game type's that may be applicable to the Tactical Gaming play style we all love. I implore you all to at least to look into this mod. I will definitely be drooling till the day it comes out

    Do not mind my double post, I was watching a movie and sent it 2 times accidentally. If an administrator reads this they can delete the First post post, i like the 2nd one better :P.
