Crysis and Teamwork? Is it worth the buy
Hey guys
Currently I'm playing Project Reality which is almost a heaven to perfect teamwork and the password nights only make it better. I've just got a new rig that powerful enough to play Crysis but I'm just wondering how much teamwork is actually found in the rounds or if it's just run and gun the entire map. I'm not interested in buying the game because of it's singleplayer as I've got another game to do that for me but, I'm looking for another multiplayer game that uses teamwork to complete missions.

I would recommend Crysis for the single player experience.

wait for Obsidian Edge mod to come out. Until then, i wholeheartedly recommend it for the singleplayer even if youre not looking for it. Some may disagree, but i really enjoyed it and cant wait to play through it again when the new nvidias come out

yeah I've heard about Obsidian Edge, It seems like it will really bring out the teamwork and tactics of this game. Got one question though, will their be VOIP?

Yeah power struggle, on a rare good server (with no one cheating and with everyone having some clue what they and their teammates are doing) has some serious potential. I like it better when it has either no or a very long time limit.
Await the moment for one, and only one, well aimed shot.

When I get a new rig I will be attempting to design a map for the new mod Obsidian Edge 2 that will make the MP for Crysis one of the best in FPS in my opinion, or at the very least i think it will compare with Call of Duty 4.

Re: Crysis and Teamwork? Is it worth the buy
I only played MP a few times then un-installed the game as I saw no teamwork or any potential for teamwork. It's too fast paced run and gun tactics. For any teamwork to be possible you need time to communicate over VOIP. Time to direct your teammates towards the enemy you see, before you decide to open fire. If you want good teamwork get a slower paced game like Armed Assault. Project Reality would be like the middle ground between the two.

Re: Crysis and Teamwork? Is it worth the buy
The multiplayer is not great for teamwork. It is more of a lone wolf set up, but small, 2-man teams are possible.

Re: Crysis and Teamwork? Is it worth the buy
Update on my previous post month's ago. I believe OE2 for Crysis will match any new FPS that will come out for a long time to come. I know they are going to make an amazing Tactical Strike Gametype. There is some pretty talented people working on that mod. And from what I understand they are not getting paid to do so. To create a mod for the love of the game and the community it creates I find quite incredible.
So in answer to your question, Yes you should buy this game. IMO
Also the single player is fun.

Re: Crysis and Teamwork? Is it worth the buy
I would recommend you Crysis for the single player and the graphics, the multi player is disappointing and a little confusing, but if you want a game with ultimate graphics... Crysis
(BTW: I bought my Crysis on a sale for about 20 bucks.)Look under your chair!
