so we upgrading to Crysis Wars?

I know we have a Crysis server, and the 2 modes sucked for that... well one mode... now that Crysis Warhead has been released, it comes with a separate install of the multiplayer component titled "Crysis Wars"... this has 4 or 5 modes now, including team deathmatch... we looking to put one up and test it for TG? If so for the love of god password the damn thing, and just play by TG's rules... no major SOP's or anything till we find out if the gameplay is worth it, what works and what don't.

Re: so we upgrading to Crysis Wars?

I thought it just came with deathmatch, team deathmatch, and power struggle?

Haven't been able to try it yet, played the SP for like 5 mins last night, definitely gotta tweak some stuff because its not running as well as Crysis did.

ran alot better for me, but that MP is still a joke, not that great... and very laggy...at least so far with 30 mins on it.

Upgrading? That's the plan. It won't happen until this weekend though!

Re: so we upgrading to Crysis Wars?

Not that I plan on playing it... I was just wondering, since this is the "new and improved" multiplayer... hell I already deleted it from my harddrive... played the SP campaign, till the aliens... and MP didn't do much for me with crashes, lock ups and disconnects.

Re: so we upgrading to Crysis Wars?

that sucks

I've got my copy and waiting for the servers to light up with tactical players.
If they really want this thing to survive they need to help us figure out, or code themselves, co-op play.

I would honestly be happy playing co-op with 3-4 of you guys...which seems about the amount of people ready to play :\

In terms of performance, I have read that dx9 seems to be significantly better, whereas some people are complaining that dx10 received little to no treatment and performs worse than crysis.

I've noticed that the people experiencing the worst performance are using ATI cards. It definitely seems more optimized for nvidia. The ads aren't lying!

You can also play the original game in the new engine by making a mod folder and copying your cryisis /game folder into it. Then you can start crysis like any other mod (-mod crysis) and load a map (`, con_restricted 0, map island). This way you can directly compare the two engines.

Re: so we upgrading to Crysis Wars?

Well, Crysis Wars... Initially I gave it a few tries and had no clue as to what was going on... No Communication on the two servers I was on..died numerous times and then dropped it like a hot potato.. I then completed single player but found myself missing that darn Suit.. (I checked the Mens Warehouse and they do NOT carry that brand)..
Well..this am I fired up BF2 PR and found that the TG server was down. So I figured I would try Crysis wars again.. Well.. this time was a bit different.. I played a few rounds..Found out you had the "Purchase" weapons deal (P key for non readers like myself) when you start up.. Then started Capping a few points etc.. Kinda like Battlefield 2. I got this impression though..with real communications, meaning the players, (the game has comms built in.) you could dominate game play.
On the two public (european ) servers I was on I had little if no lag and there was only 1 disconnect/time out for me. The game seems to play smoothly on my end.. and it is kinda fun (In a BF 2142 kinda way).

Again, as in most games, given a TG touch, it could be a gem...

Just my 2 cents..

pear..

Yep... I've had a change of heart too, once I put my own server up, locked it and invited friends only...screens in the screenshot forum.
