performance
how will crysis warhead perform on these specs? (its a laptop, btw)
Windows XP
2gb DDR2 RAM
2.0 ghz C2D intel processor
nvidia Geforce 8600M GT 512mb
i think thats all i need to post about my system.
i know i can do the minimum, but i also kinda want a bit of the eye candy, like the water and such.

Re: performance
I can tell it doesn't run well if you are up for the eye candy, but it looks that you are pretty much at the ''worse side of the line'' as laptops can be bit tricky for gaming. But don't worry if the game runs well with lowest settings, its pretty much all you need. Biggest eye candy in Crysis:WH are explosions imo, so you won't miss that much, though I can't promise anything.
If you are planning to buy warhead I would also check what this test says:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
Just choose Crysis:Warhead and allow test to run (you need java for it), it tells pretty accurate results but can be wrong.
Hope that helped you atleast a little bit!

Re: performance
well, after 2 days of playing i can do "best performance" settings and a very nice FPS (60) and very little, of any, lag, even on a crowded 32-man server.
cheers!

Re: performance
Crysis Warhead seems pretty well optimized. While not the highest end laptop it's not that bad either. I'm not surprised in the least that it runs well under "best performance" settings.

Re: performance
Yeah, I might've read it wrong...Whoops. I can barely play on High Settings (About 10fps when big things happen.), and I have....Well, just look:

In fact, I get some lag on medium settings

Re: performance
Don't expect anything more than the lowest settings if you want to play at a reasonable framerate. Now, that being said, it still looks great.
