Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation
i got an OCZ 700w extreme gamer PSU which is now powering my 8800 gtx BFG watercooled ed. OC'ed to 2052 mhz memory and 687(!)mhz on my core. And i still cant break 65 C on load after an hour of heavy gaming. This thing is a BEAST. Im gettin 11000+ scores on 3dmark06 easily. If the new ati cards can beat that on stock, id be impressed.
I cant wait to tear it up in Crysis.

Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation
I remember seeing Crysis at E3 last year. It looks even better in person. I believe they were running it on Direct 9 cards if I can recall. They would not let anyone play just watch the Crytex employees.. It was killing me!

Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation

Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation
By the time Crysis is out, DX10 should be ubiquitous (or at least more common than it is right now). That should drive the prices on 8800s down, and more importantly let you buy a DX10 card that runs Crysis at least moderately well for less than a million bucks.

CryEngine2
Gamespot has an article and clip showing off the engine. I wasn't too interested in the game before but I have to admit I am intrigued now.

I sure hope that this engine is licensed by a great game maker. I wasn't too impressed with FarCry.
