Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation

It sounds like no one has gotten to see the 2nd half of the game, so we could be in for some huge surprises. I agree though, that the more I see of the beginning videos, the more I look forward to COD3

Ok, and if you're wrong?

Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation

you do realize how huge these maps are gonna be right? However powerful a sniper may be, he still has to find his targets and if youre running out without cover you deserved to be sniped.

I can't comment on the Mutiplayer, it may not even be that great. Singleplayer I'm pretty sure it will be.

Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation

I really hope mile and a half shots aren't possible, thats just too absurdly far, bullet drop would probably be tremendous. Speaking of that, I hope bullet drop is in game in some form.

Can't wait, jeez, I'm seriously considering an 8800...

Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation

well, who knows how far shots are possible, but in Far Cry i believe it was close to one km. Which is pretty far but not absurdly....I would assume it would around that.

Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation

The maps look like it's basically a jungle. It'll be some tough shots when targets are running through trees and the sniper loses track.

OFP and ArmA have long shots too but it doesn't mean you always get picked off a mile away. Gee, I find it hard enough sniping in Battlefield with its short range shots.

Re: HD Crysis DX10 GeForce 8800 Presentation

Well, Far Cry was mostly jungle as well, but had multiple islands throughout levels so you could find yourself shooting between them.

Aye, a km shot isn't unthinkable. Only reason I argue a mile shot is that on that Future Weapons show, they had a sniper shoot a mile and it was an incredibly hard shot, lots of wind etc.

An actual trailer has been released on Gamespot: http://www.gamespot.com/video/931665...ideoplayerpop?

Also an interview posted at Gamespot has said that we'll see it by the end of the year!
