Re: Single player demo Sept 25!
Sweet, time to crush my 8800GTX. I would like to play Halo 3 considering the let down that was Halo 2's ending.... but I don't think I'll get a 360 until Too Human comes out.

Re: Single player demo Sept 25!
I haven't beaten Halo 3, but i've a bit of the full thing(friends uncle works at Bungie so he got the full thing near the beginning of summer). it's fun but not my cup of tea, never been a Halo fan. Crysis will be sweet

Re: Single player demo Sept 25!
Ultra settings will only be available with DX10, and that prolly means an 8800GTS at the minimum to get max settings playable. 8800GTX will run it well.

Re: Single player demo Sept 25!
minimum -
CPU 3.0 GHz, 1GB RAM, NVIDIA 6600, 6GB HDD
maximum -
really good core 2 duo (3.0ghz), dual8800 ultras, 2 gigs ram...im not sure but thats prolly close. im hoping my one ultra will do the trick. It all depends on resolution though.

Re: Single player demo Sept 25!
SNAIL, Crytek has already stated max settings will be doable with a single 8800GTX 2 gigz of ram and a midrange C2D, where the crap did you come up with 8800 Ultra's in SLI. the ultra is hardly better then the GTX

Re: Single player demo Sept 25!
well mines oc'ed to 650 mhz. I saw a noticable improvment from the gtx. And no, its not just an oc'ed version of the gtx, they added more shader processors and crap like that.
Anyways, if thats true, then i should have no problem. I just hope thats not on 1024. 1920x1200 is quite bigger so i needed the extra horsepower.

Re: Single player demo Sept 25!
If for some cruel act of God I'm unable to run the game I'll just break into Snail's house and steal his computer. Creep in Nanosuit style.

Re: Single player demo Sept 25!
no snail, no more shaders, no more anything for that fact. What they did was.....
Move the Shaders from 1350MHz to 1550MHz (or similar)
Move the Core clock from 575 to 62x (or whatever)
and bumped the memory up to 2100?
the later of those two clocks I've already Done. the top one could be done as simply as getting a slightly better cooler and Loading in a new Bios. They are infact.............the same card They have the same number of transistors, Shaders, Memory........ Everything, One just has a revamped Bios and a cool cooler, They even use the same grade of Silicon and have the same clockability (generally because Silicon Verys, however the clocks achieved on the Ultra are not hard to achieve on the GTX)
PS, Ive overclocked mine to 675 Staying Stable enough to play for hours on my GTX. without better cooling, the lockup was from Heat at 680. so i was like forget it its not worth it and backed it down to 620
