That is kinda off topic but great idea. We could make topic for asking ppl about their game styles and weaknesses, and then put ppl against each other.
For instance I rarely get to play against tyranid players and I suck against lictor and ravener, so I would take 1on1 or maybe even 3on3 where tyranid player who plays either commander, is placed so that he has to fight me.
If we get more who would like to do this please make own topic for this (we could also have something like tournament after)

A good way to maximise the space marines is early game get dev squad to suppress the first point so then you take control and you can cap more points with your scouts...because the most powerful part of the space marines is that when they are entrenched they are really freakin hard to kill...even if you manage to swarm an entrenchment their hero will make good use of your men!
so yeah if you are SM then simply get your dev and scouts to sit there with shotguns and then keep spamming TAC's! These guys are so powerful 3 squads of rockets will pwn any super unit (e.g. avatar) or tank (dreadnaught) and if you manage to lose your dev and scouts then no need to fear just buy another 2 with plasma's hahahaha...it's so serious ownage when you have these...but I guess it all comes down to how much money you have!
but every unit has a weakness...if you are fighting SM's and they have done exactly what you have planned then what's destroys that is ASM's get 2-3 squads of those jump strike them and they can't do much apart from try and get their hero to kill your guys...but make sure they are backed up by something ranged!!! Or else you will have wasted a hefty 550! And the more they level up the easier it is for you to take out more units
I find tnaks useless because for one they can't retreat, they can get stuck in terrain, they cost lots, they can get killed easy...but on the other hand they take out other tanks pretty well, have lots of health, can be repaired, can suppress...which is ESSENTIAL in winning a game quick and capping points. Although I would never recommend spamming preds for example...cuz like WHO has that much power anyway and if they die it's a waste!
Although if you use this strat all the time you'll get bored of the game easily...personally i'm quite a tolerant guy to repeating these types of things and not getting bored. so yeah my advice if your using SM's branch out to other idea's like maybe ASm's TAC"S DEV hero (halo, artificer, hammer...that always pwns another hero and infantry!!!) and dreads..or even just use another race...find out what defeats SM's and counter that next gameLast edited by peepee_; 04-21-2009 at 09:00 PM. I forgot to mention about how weak they can be aswell!
this will be short so bear with me hahaha
early game SM's suck BIG TIME!!! If you are up against a good ork player they know that getting 3 squad's of slugga's will beat everything but nids...because they can also get lots of units at the start too...if your playing SM player you know he can't get many guys out at the start
Like at most you can have 7 guys including hero Orks can have 19 inlcuding hero...it's easy to get swarmed and hence lose lots of your men...and your forced to reinforce to even have a chance of coming back...you can also have your hero swarmed easily aswell and retreating does nothing cuz he can't get past all the orks attacking him..so remember that you can wina game easy if you just kill SM's quickly at the start and then build
