    Hmm, multiplayer requirements?

    Hey everyone,

Probably will be getting Dawn of War II for my birthday or sometime around that time. I was wondering if I went and bought the game retail, would I have to have a Windows LIVE subscription to play online? If that is the case I am assuming that if I get it off of steam then I don't need a LIVE account. Am I correct in these assumptions?

No, you do need a LIVE account (no need to pay just an account) regardless of the origin of purchase (either box or steam, it has to be put into steam anyways so doesn't matter)

Yupp, windows live is free, however. It also creates an account for many things too. I was surprised to find that it synced up with my zune player account.
