Well as everyone guess chaos were being held back for an expansion back.

Continue the single player campaign from the original Dawn of War II with all new Wargear and a level cap raise from 20 to 30 for your Blood Raven squad. Veterans of the Dawn of War II single player campaign can use their existing squads’ accumulated wargear, abilities and experience to battle the traitorous Chaos Space Marines of the Black Legion throughout 20 new missions. Powerful new Chaos-tainted wargear can also be equipped and used against your enemy, but doing so could lead to dreadful consequences.

The Chaos Space Marines will also be playable as a brand new army in multiplayer. Other multiplayer additions include new units for Orks, Eldar, Tyranids and Space Marines, as well as new multiplayer maps.

As with the normal THQ expansion it includes some new units for old races, a new campaign and a new race. Although this time it looks like THQ listened to some of the complaints for the last game and has included more variety in the campaign as well as the new corruption mechanic.

With this and the last stand update coming DoW 2 might see some new life

Me too. Chaos was my favorite race aesthetically in the original Dawn of War...very happy about seeing Chaos return to DoW2 at last

This is definitely a good move. I have much love for this game anyway and can't wait for what they have planned.

Hopefully they'll go with the World Eaters this time as the Chaos faction. Or, at least, include the Khorne Berzerkers again.

Looks like that gay alpha Legion again

Man i so want Word Bearers or World Eaters! I even would be fine with Thousand Sons or Night Lords. I wonder what heroes will be available. Chaos-Lord and the Chaos Sorcerer for sure but what may be the third one?
I am pretty excited about that

They're trying their hand at Alpha Legion again? From a fluff standpoint, they kinda botched them in the original game - is that the only Chaos legion they were granted licensing for?

Actually the World Eaters were in Winter Assault, so at least they shook it up a bit once...

Alpha legion is part of the story, every campaign in the dawn of war games is written history for the blood ravens now, if alpha legion is back its because game workshop have some plan for them and the blood ravens.

Yeah might be right but they made so many 40k fans sick of Blood Ravens ( the clan that appeard out of nothing just for a pc game. The Blood Raven are hurting the story IMO )
and they are just about to do the same with the Alpha Legion IMO.
Well we shall see how it´s turning out. I will buy it anyway D:

You know, the Death Guard would be nice to see. The Plague Marines would fit the general playstyle of Chaos in the previous games, which was a bit more melee-ish than the Space Marines.
