Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
I seen lots of Ferseers in melee gear - and most failed horribly. Itīs fancy for the earlier levels but when ging for the kill itīs all about movement options and hiding like a little girl.
Ya the ****ton of nids. You need to hold out in the middle somewhere till the last wave of Carnifexes spawned. Then you jump/port into one of the spawns and fight from there preferably abusing one fex as tank with confuse

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
True
I have tried that set-up cause i had the " all energy-low armor " gear for a while and failed with it. But that might came from that fact that i was still low lvl and didnīt had the mass-teleport. Also didnīt equiped the conceal so " yay stuipd me! " I was so fancy about the pistol with the bolt-ability
Gonna change my gear today back to energy and shall have a look how itīs working. His capacity for love lost, the man accepts it into his glas of dispair. The Flames of burning anger unquenched, the man keeps drinking... but never gets drunk

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
If you arrive on 19 - beware the scouts! They negate your conceal when near and make you a bloodstain on the floor. Look from which direction the Terminator NPC boss comes - fight into that direction as the other 3 spawn s will have scouts emerging

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
Thanks for that tip.
How do i fight the wraithlords with a paper-thin armor?
With the infight wargear i can solo these things pretty easy. Just ward on and beat him to death. Are you just doing it with confusion? And when do i get the mass-confusion? i lurk around lvl 12 right now. ( what is the ebtter choice.. the ghosthelm for more regeneration or the +50 energy armor? )His capacity for love lost, the man accepts it into his glas of dispair. Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
mass confusion is 15 I think but I rarely use it due to the 50 energy cost. Lords can be kited easily. And of course confuse. The trouble on this level consists more about not getting swamped with banshees. After the small stuff is widled down everyone can simple kite the lords. The marine melee dreads in 19 are a biggger pain - some have an autogun with barrage and some are melee equipt - the melee dreads have a charge in animation and can easily follow a 25% movement eldar while keeping up
The +50 energy armor is crap - either go the whole way with 0.5 energy regen paper armor or stay with your normal armor

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
Why do you think is a good build for the Mekboy? Because I use the default Teleporter Pack, the Rokit Launcher, and Boom Time, with Cyber implants and Hard Bits.
I use the Trophy Rack as my commander item

My Mekboy is level one but the most sucessful Mekboys I have seen were very basic - teleporter and big shoota

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
The only thing that kills me constantly are these damn banshees ( or lords if i donīt wear in fight gear ) cause i play random most of the time and get lots of melee marines with dreadnought... but i think marines with healing aura and plasma-cannon ( the one that can be fired while running ) are more useful for kiting and stuff.
I get no problems until the mirror with my melee-farseer. But i have to use the ward quite often in order to net get insta-stomped.His capacity for love lost, the man accepts it into his glas of dispair. The Flames of burning anger unquenched, the man keeps drinking... but never gets drunk

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
Maybe not needed but Iīll mention it anyway - be sure to put your fingers on the keyboard shortcuts of your abilities. It saves vital splitseconds.
You can also use abilities on the character protraits on the right - so if someone is surounded you dont have to seek out his tiny character but can just target him there

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
A good space marine will routinely carry your team to level 18-19.
A good Eldar is critial to beating 16, 19 and 20.
A good mekboy will save your sorry butts more times than you can count.
Mekboy's the easiest to play, just get used to teleporting all the time. All The Time. Before you think you need to move. You can pretty much keep yourself alive indefinitely while slowly picking away at enemies until you can sneak a revive. I usually run rokkits or Big Shoota, teleport, cyborg bits, whatever makes you immune to knockback are key. The rest is mostly personal preference. Just don't let yourself get killed trying to pull off the perfect Roks.
You can pretty much be an effective mek from the get go. I've personally taken a level 4 mek to lvl 20 as SM and played a level 4 mek to 20, so there you go.
SM specced for high single damage + dread makes the rounds leading up to 16 cake. Dread soaks a ton of damage from the rest of you while the SM runs around taking out high value targets.
But the key you ask? An eldar player specced to be a team player. Confuse, Conceal, GT make a *huge* difference in the later rounds. Problem is you're not going to get many kills this way, so very few eldar play it.

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
Get a SM with the axe and litanies of zeal/dread. You can start holing up in a corner because the SM can solo a single carn fairly easily, then take out most of the tunnelers (which are the bigger problem about this wave) before the rest of the carn's get there. Once they do, confuse and/or run to the other end and wipe out the rest of the little guys, then kite the carns around.

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
Carnis by themselves aren't that tough, its also the amount of other Tyranid things there that made stage 17 the one I can't beat yet. But yeah mekboy doesn't need much to do well, unlike the farseer or the space marine, at least from my experience so far.

Re: VIDEO: Last Stand Stage 20 beaten
What's also good for the team-oriented Farseer, is a Mekboy with Battery pack. Constantly recharging the Farseer's abilities, so you can basically spam Eldiritch Storm, GT and Conceal.
