Update coming up...

There is a "Day of Defeat Source: Beta" in all Day of Defeat Source owner's Steam accounts.

Haven't tried it myself, but the update has been in the works for a long time.

Just thought I'd bump you guys on it.

Re: Update coming up...

Was kind of thinking that it was real cheap to put in a source version that costs money when the original has brits and all that and with more guns, maps, etc... Actually I dont kind of think its cheap, it is cheap... Hope they update it with all the things it should have...

Re: Update coming up...

Well, one was a free mod, Source was developed and continuously updated by Valve. Looks like Valve chose to sacrifice some content (the Brits) for tightened gameplay, graphics, and sound. Also, it's only $10 bucks, for pete's sake.

Anyway, glad to see the update, I'm glad they're still supporting it. I probably won't go onto the beta, but it'll give me an excuse to get back into DoD:S when it hits.

Re: Update coming up...

It adds the TF2 killcam, nemesis and achievement features, the latter two seeming kind of out of place, but it's nice they're still working on the game.
