Re: Day of Defeat Source
I downloaded the game tonight and I have a few questions for you guys. Is this a tactical game? Everyone just took off and ran for flags, will this change over time? The game was a lot of fun, good purchase for $20.

I can see how it can be a tactical game, but we'll need to start coordinating with voice. One thing I've noticed, the in game voice comm is really garbled compared to BF2 and Teamspeak.

The in game voice leaves something to be desired but valve can upgrade that at any time. Yeah it's tactical, like most of the games around you have to play that way, alot of pubbies will boil it down to deathmatch any time they can.

Re: Day of Defeat Source
We need to setup a time frame for when most of us can play! The |TG| server is *always* empty! I have to resort to playing on public servers! Very frustrating! *I* can play tomorrow night (9/30/05) at around 10 - 11 PM...
What about you guys?

Re: Day of Defeat Source
Last night it was 20/20 so I couldn't even get in. That's a great sign!

Don't think they were, since my steam ID is in my profile. It should have kicked someone right?

You probably would have had to force-connect through console, ala CSS.

3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine.

Hmmm...that's the trick. I don't generally do that: I use the icon "force" method.
