If you liked it before, you'll like it now. It's almost the same game, just like CS:S is the same as CS.

Re: Is it worth getting?
I accidently started up the original DOD last night after playing the source version earlier in the day, and I played for a good 10 minutes before I realized the difference.
The source version feels smoother and has some nice effects added, but its virtually an identical game. More seasoned DOD players may be able to identify the differences, but I can not.
If the game becomes popular at TG and you liked the original version, I see no reason not to buy this one. I have enjoyed it so far.

DoD:S only comes with 4 maps, I assume Valve will release more maps, will they be free? Has Valve ever charged for new maps?

Re: Is it worth getting?
4 maps? Thats a shame.
If they do release more maps, I assure you that they will be free. They have never charged for maps in the past, and if they started, they would lose a whole lot of respect for me.

Re: Is it worth getting?
Ok, sounds good. Hopefully I'll find some time to download it and start playing either tomorrow or maybe Sunday.
