I might buy at least Dod Source (once more maps are added).

What are the CD tracks? You could probably get them out of the FGD files.

Yeah maybe they converted them to mp3 instead. I still have the HL 1 CD with the tracks on it. I think Opposing Force had like 20 additional audo tracks on the cd.

Yeah, it's from the game that usually starts playing in different areas of the game (at least it did in Opposing Force).

And on the difference, gameplay wise, between DoD and DoD:Source

Lots of differences. The machinegun can deploy in lots of places now; you can roll a barrel out into the street and set up there if you want. Class loadouts have been changed around a lot; the Thompson/Mp40 class gets smoke grenades, the KAR/Garand class loses a pistol and gains rifle-fired grenades, there's a bazooka class that also gets a carbine/automatic pistol, the rifles have iron sights, and the BAR/Axis Assault Rifle can toggle between automatic and single fire. There's even more changes too. A lot of them are small, subtle ones, but it has the end effect of making the game much more fun. And that's saying a lot because DoD was super fun.
