[SOP] Supporting Members: Dealing with Problem Players

Using the server's admin tools, supporting members have access to a limited set of admin functionality. You may use these abilities to help police the server by choosing to punish problem players in the following situations:
    • Players using abusive/disrespectful language over voice-comm or chat
    • Players intentionally team-killing
    • Players blocking doorways in order to prevent teammates from playing
    • Players are absent ("AFK") for an extended period when the server is full
    • Players otherwise intentionally causing grief for their teammates

Supporting Members can in this way make the server better. Your help in this effort is much appreciated. However, as with any power, there also exists a potential for abuse. Abuse may include, but is not limited to, using admin powers in the following situations:
    • Player is a newbie and is not skilled or knowledgeable at the game
    • Your non-supporting member friend wants to join the server but it's full
    • Player accidently TKs you (even if you believe it was careless)
    • Enemy player kills you in a way you feel was unfair
    • For your amusement
Anyone who uses admin powers in the above situations or any other situation that would be considered "admin abuse" places their access to the server in jeopardy.

If you are in a situation where you are unsure if you should punish a player, please attempt to contact an admin. At no time are you ever required to take punitive action.

The easiest way to use these abilities is to bind a key to the command "admin". This will present you with a menu of your options. You can also use the command ma_help in the console for a list of server admin commands. However, many of these are not available so I recommend using the "admin" command and the menu.
