Why it's so dark at night in Day Z...

Ok, you didn't have to go through what I went through with Jeepo. That crap was nightmarish. It was hell on earth, and I had trouble sleeping the night after. Pitch black, NW Airfield, Zombies, and Jeepo had the only light. I would open a door and hear the Zed moaning and moving towards me but Jeepo was distracted by the native plantlife of Cherno and had the light focused elsewhere. When he finally did shine it at me all I saw were Zombies all around trying to eat me. I started shooting, Jeepo again looked at the plants. It was the most terrifying thing ever...... Don't judge me.

Lol, and Damonte I'm not 100% on the lunar cycles as part of the engine. It very well could be. I have been involved with it since 2009 and I still see stuff I didn't know about

Anyway forgot to thank you Whiskey for a good find, next we need to have Experiment give a class on how to read the stars for navigation until we all get maps and GPS's.

No thanks - Experiment overshot the TG camp using his 'stars.' I gave him my map (which he did not return) to prove my point! Suffice it to say, route finding skills - and knowing who has them - are critical in this game.

Also the everloving darkness is an ArmA2 thing. The moon, if present, doesn't help much.

I guess I'm one of the few who enjoys the pitch dark.

Using flares and chemlights and flashlights actually come into use.

In my defence, those were some purty bushes.

Dude you said we would never talk about that again. Lunar cycle is an ArmA thing, and a damn effect way of getting yourself killed....
