If you logged out the second you spawned you could have kept all your gear, you just need to go on the day z forums, troubleshooting sub-forum and post in the spawn in the ocean thread with your player id and they would have reset your position to the coast. Meaning you could have kept lal your gear if you were quick with the disconnect.
I lost my m4-sd with 8 mags, but when he reset me he gave me a M4, couple of stanags and a tent.
wish I knew that last night. I respawned like Jesus and was walking on water for a minute, then I sank and lost all my gear. I died from lack of supplies and zombies...
Hmm this may explain why I spawned in where I last logged, in a shed near some town, but heard water all around me, and had nothing but an empty backback. I thought someone had robbed me in my sleep.
I have changed clothes twice, three times if you count going from camo to ghillie and I have never had this problem.
