Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the official policy for DayZ/Arma2 concerning what defines exploitation, what is considered an exploit in DayZ, and what the consequences are (but are not limited to) for using exploits.
1. Exploitation is considered the usage of the design of the game and engine in such a way that violates the intended play of the game. This includes manipulating known technical bugs or defects and misuse of game features.
2. Exploits in DayZ include (but are not limited to):
Disconnecting immediately upon or after being fired at to avoid being killed
Disconnecting to avoid death by aggravated zombie horde
Disconnecting/Reconnecting in order to refresh/resupply ammunition or any other items
Purposefully manipulating game mechanics or bugs to duplicate items
3. Consequences for these actions may include (and are not limited to):
Removal from the TG Survivor Group
Requested removal of any TG player tags.
Removal from the Server (Ban)
Removal from Community (extreme, but possible)
While this is not news for many or most of our regular TG players, we want everyone (new or long standing) to be reminded of and review this. Also please note that this list is not exhaustive. We want everyone to understand the spirit and intent behind this policy and follow that rather than walking the line of what is technically allowed and not. There will no haranguing over the technicalities.
All TG members are expected to follow this policy regardless of the server being played on.
