    Ddo

Hey, can someone give me a short breakdown of what this game has to offer? im right now installing this 7-day free trial i found in my box of Neverwinter Nights 2 (which i just found and ive had the game for a few months now lol) and I wanna know what this game can give me. (i.g. Max level, types of classes/races, storyline?, instances?, parties?) I want to get into an MMORPG but WoW is too boring and overrated, and Everquest 2 is to exspensive and getting old too. Or if you can give me a link to all this info that'd be tight too.

I played not long after relesse. It is a fun fast paced game based on the D&D world with most of the subtle workings. When I started playing it had a max level of 10 but I think now it is max level 14-16 or around there. It has all the base classes you woule expect and a unique leveling system that lets you take each level you ern in ANY class so you can pick up a level of wizard or fighter or anything else you want to for your next level regardless of what you have for your current class(es). There are also feats you get to chose as you level up that add to your powers and give you nice advantages.

The plot is not one set thing because the way the game world and infact any MMORP is made you can follow any and all of the many many plots.

The setting is in the semi-new D&D game world of Eberron, it is a high magic world. That means that magic has been taken to be the science of the world and they are in a magic run world with all sorts of devices that work on magic power. Eberron was the site of a large battle that removed the giants from power and left the world in chaos.

The worse thing about the game is that during my one week trial I got to level 10 and did most of the content so there was little reason to play longer, theres a lot more content now I hear. I have not played in a while but I have thought of playing again.

Yep, Sleeper pretty much hit the nut.

A number of TG players played for a little bit but the world it existed in was much too confined. Much of that has changed and it is quite a pleasant, well expanded game. They continue to expand it as well - the world there now is more than just a little different throughout.

I just started again (Thelanis server?) and also set up an account for my son.

You don't need to buy the box, if you've got the connection speed, you can download the client with the 10-day trial and then subscribe later if you like.

Ok thank you both for that info. I started my 10day trial... i think sunday night, and i have a lvl 2 ranger on Thelanis, but i play mostly on Argonessen, with my lvl 5 paladin and these new friends of mine (their canadian) and we play every night now lol. but anyway, yeah the max lvl is 16 i see, and i reallly like the multiclassing like in NEverWinterNights, thats really unique and i like that. and yeah it took about 1 hour to download the entire game with the trial. I might get it i might not, ill play through the trial and maybe ill make a nother trial and play with different chars and see how i like it.

OK.. We've got a pretty good group rolling together again.. Soulja is da MAN!

A lot of things have changed.. Mi Boi 'Grenado' rolls with us pretty regular too. He's been really good for being 8 years old.

PM Soulja or myself if you want a trial invite.

    cheers!

Yeah after many character creations and screw ups i finally found a character that is solid and i found a great build for, so no more new characters from now on haha.

Its one of the nicest things haveing the classes totaly open to you but also the worst things because if you take a of 16 different things your gona suck. If your looking for further builds you may want to look at the main D&D web site theres a lot of builds that port over well.
