I started out my low level journeys with a group of players from the AzureForge guild quickly learning a lot from players that had spent a good deal of time learning the beta.
Blaeth, Splendor, Bolvy, Alexus and a few others graciously forgave my rookie blunders and got me through the first chapter of Waterworks. I was the first to find and die from a fire trap early in the first chapter, and experienced, first hand, ressurection at a shrine - thanks to my party getting my soulstone there.
About half the party took a break after completing the second chapter, while the other half went on. Blaeth and I met up a few hours later to complete Waterworks and claim some very nice quest rewards. Waterworks is definitely a fun and challenging adventure.
A little later I found some of our
TG-kin arrived, Rori (Joeyjojo) and Gauge. We tromped into the Lair of the Kolbold brothers.. a little short handed for the mission. Suddenly, with impeccable timing.. Zorku showed up.. jumped into the adventure, filled out the group and helped us 'kick a little'. I think we did a 'basement' adventure after that, a little lighter.. I can't remember I was really tired by then.
I look forward to another round tonight. I would like to cap level three before moving on to the Marketplace and even greater adventures! Dungeons and Dragons Online is definitely not World of Warcraft.. The initial impressions of similarity have worn off and I am realizing the
extreme care with which this product was released - its a whole different game, very much in tune with the Dungeons and Dragons PnP franchise. I sure hope to see more of you online in the coming weeks!
