Got a Best Buy Gift Certificate burning a whole in my wallet!
Fellas-
I'm on the verge of my decision and would like to hear some reviews of D+D Online. Should I buy the game? I played D + D as a kid (both the pen and paper as well as Wizardy, Ultima) and this PC version of the game looks promising and hopefully will recreate that fun experience. I'm been playing alot of BF2 and I like the TG players and style of play.
Need the info!
-Thanks!

^^ What JoeyJOJO said. And more. The depth of this game continues to surprise me and it seems quite faithful to the PnP editions without the tedium. I am going to put together a review very soon but you can check out this one for now.

Here is the article that took the front page of 'Arts' in the New York Times.

Re: Got a Best Buy Gift Certificate burning a whole in my wallet!
Hey guys was wondering if you could give some info on how much it is per month to play. Frys Electronics has D&DO on sale and it's killing me. I am opposed to pay to play stuff but I am a D&D'er from long ago and with TG people I could just imagine the fun. Also is it a game that requires long hours of play to be successful? I have a family and sometimes time is hard to come by. Would appreciate any info.

Re: Got a Best Buy Gift Certificate burning a whole in my wallet!
np drizz i 'll help in any way possible , monthly fee is anywhere between 15 $ and 11$ a month depending on what plan you decide to gowith .. i think theres pay by month every 3 months 6 months and yearly.
it does require some time to play ,, but with the group of guys we have right now . finding a good party is not hard, p8riot is try to get a couple of specific days scheduled that we all kinda meet up , split into groups and adventure, the go is a little slow right now, but its only cause its new. things will eventually iron themselves out and we'll really be able to concentrate on getting things done ,
most of all really ,, its just about the fun though ,, i highly recomend gettin involved if you like high adventure and good times

Re: Got a Best Buy Gift Certificate burning a whole in my wallet!
Hey thanks Joey, $11-15 a month ouch that's steep! I doudt I could manage to justify that with my accountant (wife) especially spending that kind of money on a game and then dumping another $11-15 mnth at it. I might have to wait until NWN2 comes out. ugh
