    Post Pawn Shops

Greatings all, I figured I would shed some light on DDO's Pawn Shops. There are 4 pawn shops, one in each of the houses: Phiarlan. Deneith, Jorasco and Kundarak. Each pawn shop is for one of the four equipment types: Armor/Shield, Weapons, Accessories and Cloth. Currently there is no cloth in game (robes are considered armor) so you only have to remember three.

    LOCATING PAWN SHOPS:

--- In house Phiarlan (house P) is the Accessory Pawn shop; this includes helmets, gloves, belts, etc. It is located on the West side and is called "Estwhile Emporium"

--- House Deneith (house D), in the South East corner, is "Fare Trades." Fare Trades has weapons of all kinds, both melee and ranged. It does not, however, carry Magic ammo for ranged weapons.

--- House Kundarak is home to "Second Gauntlet Goods," which sells all kinds of armor and shields. Second Gauntlet Goods is located in the North West end of house Kundarak.

--- House Jorasco has the Clothing vendor; this does not matter because there is nothing that fits into clothing in game currently.

    SELLING TO PAWN SHOPS:

Pawn shops will give you more money per item than any other shop in the game currently.

In order to sell to a pawn shop you should go to the correct pawn shop for the type of item you are selling (see above) and have something of value enough to sell. For a general rule assume +2 for a pawn shop to buy (although you can sell +1 Full Plate, and maybe few other exceptions). I have not tested to see if anything else +1 can be sold to them, and i will update as I find more info on this.

    BUYING FROM PAWN SHOPS:

Buying from a pawn shop is very simple. Each pawn shops has 4 vendors: <Item Type> Vendor, Quality Vendor, Magical Vendor and a fourth, whose name is changed depending on which shop you go to. The four Vendor's items vary in strength from +2 to +10 (respectively).

Buying items from pawns shops is the same as from any other vendor, except that they cost significantly more (starting at 11,000 Gold or 1,100 PP). You do not need to have correct currency, they will take currency starting with the lowest and working their way up (Copper, Silver, Gold then Platinum). To examine an item in a pawn shop, as with all shops, SINGLE CLICK!! the item (double clicking will buy the item) and press the Examine key (Z by default). In order to see what an item's special ability does, hover over the white name of the ability on the examine screen.

Pawns shops are player fed, what you sell to them appear in their inventory, so if you don't see something you want, try coming back later.

NOTE: You cannot repair at a pawn shop, and items must be repaired before you may sell them. Charged items DO NOT need to be fully charged.

    --------------

Well, I hope this helps you all, if there is anything else you would like info on, let me know either here or in game and i'll work up a post on it.
