Community Chest - Item Exchange
My idea here is to start this thread for people to post items they may have that are too good to sell or just plain nice to use, but are not of use to the owner for what ever reason (race, class, duplicate items, etc.) I know its necessary to sell most of the stuff (at least it is for me) to compensate for repairs, potions, and things like that, but sometimes (and I'm sure this will happen more as we reach higher levels) you may run into an item that makes you think "man, I would love to use that if only I were a ranger", or a cleric, paladin, etc...you get the idea. In that case, you may want to post it in this thread so a guildie can send you a PM or reply somehow and get the satisfaction of using that +4 bow that only elves can use, godly docent, or whatever it is.

Re: Community Chest - Item Exchange
I don't know if it could work here, but in WoW we have a guild bank. All we needed was an alt to get all those items... Our guild bank is "TGbanker1" for high level stuff and "TGbanker2" for low and middle level gear.

Re: Community Chest - Item Exchange
This is a great idea, this could really work out if we try. I love how in this game ppl just give stuff away, sure there is the occasional greedy person but on a whole I've found most ppl are willing to just give items away for free. Just like earlier today i gave away an underwater action helm to a complete stranger cause i already had one.
I'll defintley keep my eye out for items for other classes.

Re: Community Chest - Item Exchange
As our base grows a little I would like to keep this thread alive as a resource to find what we need and then ask the TGBanker (yep, I saw that in WoW SacredLord ) for what you need.
Unless I am mistaken, the proper route would probably be to buy an additional log on account that would be available to all DDO TG admins to log into. That keeps the account in our public domain instead of an individuals subscription.

Re: Community Chest - Item Exchange
Our GM or an officer willing to take the "treasurer post" could do it without paying for an extra account... it's cheaper, unless this other account serves for other purposes wich I don't have any idea at the moment.
P.S.: I'll be home in less than 48h!!

Re: Community Chest - Item Exchange
Zarku had the idea of rolling a rogue and maxing it out on charisma and haggling skills for the job. That would also make the 'bank' and excellent 'broker'. I am up for that. We'll sort that out in the next few weeks. We won't start with a separate account for now but we'll start out with two 'Bankers' handled by Admins when we get that rolling.. soon.. soon..

Re: Community Chest - Item Exchange
Wish I had thought of that, excellent idea. We all should be on the look out for any items that boost charisma and haggle. And this character should be a human, 2 feats to start(negotiater, skill focus-haggle). cant think of any other way to boost this characters abilities.
or make it a human bard. heres why. enhancement bonus to chr+1 at level 2. add an item that gives chr+1 for a total of +2 chr. give it a necklace i have for +3 haggle with the 2 feats from above gives you a character with 20 charisma, 18 haggle at level 2

Re: Community Chest - Item Exchange
I have the following types of armor for anyone who might need it:
+2 studded leather (light)
+1 chain shirt of lesser fire resist (reduces any fire dmg by 3 pts) (light)
+2 chainmail of lesser acid resist (medium)
Hope they eventually implement some type of in-game mail system, as that would really make trading gear nice. I'll hang onto these for a while, if anyone needs any of them send me a PM or something. As of now I'm usually on after 10pm, but that will change at the end of the month.
See you in the belly of the beast...
Elmo (Fighter 4)
Grendel (Bard 4)

Re: Community Chest - Item Exchange
If there are no takers for the +2 chain.. That might suit my Ranger well.

Re: Community Chest - Item Exchange
rgr...I'll take the +2 studded mike.
Did they implement the rule where Rangers can only wield two weapons if they are in light armor?
