System Requirements???
My co-worker is interested in getting this game, but isn't sure it will run. Is anyone here playing on less than the recommended specs?
Minimum System Requirements:
---
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 1.6 GHz or compatible (must support SSE)
Video: GeForce 2 or equivalent with 32MB
RAM: 512 MB or more
Disk Space: 3GB, 5GB for High Resolution
DirectX: DX9c+
OS: Windows XP Home and Pro
He is unable to provide detailed info on his rig:
Thinks his processor is an 866?
256RAM
Intigrated ATI (He doesn't know which one.)
Will provide more specific info when available.
I think he's "screwed" and needs to update this dinosaur of a lap top.

Re: System Requirements???
No worries.. It reminds me - we can use a tech support sub-forum.. I believe there will be many more tech questions in the future.
I am working on high performance video tweaks to post in the future. I am going to try to and do optimization for high (single card) , medium, minimum, and ultra-high (SLi / Crossfire) performance classes. Obviously, I will be doing the 'high' version while I have the X1900XTX installed.

Re: System Requirements???
I doubt he would be able to run the game with that configuration... If it does, it will crash a lot and the cinematics will take forever...
256 RAM is not the worst although I'd seriously recommend 1 Gig. However, an 866 processor has no chance...

Re: System Requirements???
Ok, I am Dirt's co-worker, the one with the sucky computer.
Here is what I know
I have 13GB free on my hard drive
I have a mobile AMD Athlon xp 1.86 GHz
704 MB of Ram
I thought my processor speed with 866, I guess it was a 1.86 GHz.
I know nothing

Re: System Requirements???
Well.. in that case.. technically you meet the minimum specs to run the game. You might try it with Dirt's help if he's up to it and see how it runs. I would hate for you to buy it and be disappointed for performance issues.

Re: System Requirements???
right now i run this
2.08 ghz proc.
ati 9250 256mb video card
512 ram(usually 1 gig)
the biggest problem i have from the low ram and processer is it takes longer for the areas to load.
so if you can stomach a longer loading time its definitly worth the buy.

Re: System Requirements???
Hi, I´m finally back home!
However, after installing the game I´m having problems with 2 files a specific sound one and some ".intro" wich is not allowing me to run the game... I reinstalled once and I´ll keep trying to do so, anyone experienced this bug before?
Thanks in advance!

Re: System Requirements???
I just fixed the problem... guess what? I tried to install the game in the DVD drive and it worked... I think my CD drive may need to be clean or it is time to get a new one lol...
I´m gonna make two chars... the first one a pally - just to keep my nick from WoW, I´ll name him Sacredlord too -, and the 2nd one, my main toon, the cleric wich I don´t know any cool names at the moment but I´ll soon find one that works
See you all in game!
