Sorceror Class
I have been trying to figure out for a while now what the point of being a sorcerer is, since wizards seem to have a big advantage in potentially being able to know every spell in the game, where sorcerors can only pick a few to specialize in. Well, if your interested you can check out this page http://en.ddowiki.ws/page/Sorcerer. I'm posting below what I consider to be the most important advatages offered by the sorceror class, although I am not saying one class is better than the other...they both have distinct advantages and disadvantages.
Sorcerors cast spells 10% faster per level than other spellcasting classes.
Sorcerors also have 1/2 the cooldown on most of their spells.
note: Wizard and cleric spells have a cooldown of 2xspell level in seconds, sorcerors have a cooldown of 1xspell level. (IE: fireball has a 3 second cooldown for a sorc, while it has a 6 second cooldown for a wizard.)
Sorcerors also get more spell points (the most of any class by far I think).
Wizards in turn (hope I get this right) get extra feats, can potentially use every spell in the game, and get higher level spells one level earlier than sorcerors.
There are other advantages and disadvantages to both classes I think, but these are the ones I thought were most important.
So with that being said, I plan on starting a damage focused Sorc to tool around with...."Malibu the Mystic".
BTW - the wiki sites seem to have some of the best info on classes and other game info I've found so far.
Grendel (4 bard)
Elmo (4 fighter)

Re: Sorceror Class
You are correct Mongo (good link BTW). A sorc is mostly there to dish out the damage, while i wizard can buff/dmg/cc etc. I personaly like wizards, but the sorc is VERY powerfull when played well. Good luck with building one. Also to note, currently sorcerers CANNOT change spells like in 3.5, so planning is a little more important.
just my 2cp
