Tangleroot Redux

Well.. even though we CRANKED through the first two Splinterskull chapters of Tangleroot, I really liked that one. There was definately a lot of action to do and plenty to see.

Because we aborted continuing the adventure because the group was too pressed for time to enjoy it, I propose we continue it as a Sunday evening adventure. I would also like to propose an earlier start time so that we may take the time to rack up all the additional side quest and ransack bonuses that we can this time.

So lets round up six players - levels 3 - 5 . Three fighter-class, one rogue-class, one cleric-class, and the sixth will be wildcard - although I think a fourth tank would be beneficial.. I could be wrong.

I really liked the two players we filled the open slots with.. Mi and Magiere.. be sure and keep an eye out for them in your future quests.

Re: Tangleroot Redux

Yah I've played with Mi a few times in the past, she's fun. Let alone one of the few women who play the game.

I finished the quest with Magiere, Mi, and others last night, he's a GREAT player and extremely nice. Although I didnt get off until after 1AM because of mistakes we made near the end. (Yes, even knowing where to go and having higher lvl characters). I picked up the Splinterskull Ring as it allows me to free up an enhancement slot or 2 for something else (health casters do well with Devotion II and Nullification enhancements, with the ring you dont need it).

Seems as though a few of those guys play regularly together even though they're not in the same guilds. Another guy I know named "Foeresct" is a really good player, really nice too. I've been trying to recruit them as they'd be fantastic additions and help take DDO TG to another level when us regulars arent on.

I wish I could remember the others in the group last night as they all were really good people and regular players. Definitely worthy of the friends list.

Plan on setting aside around 5 hours if you want to crawl through the dungeon. Bear in mind, the quest is basically the same level over and over, 7 times. Personally, I'm averted to going through it slowly for this reason... too tedious. Other quests like STK, flames, or delara's throw different things at you throughout. Tangle is not really like that.

p.s. never done Tangleroot - done a few house J quests but that is it. Been away from it for a while. RL sucks.. lol
I have completed Tangleroot a few times. We had a lvl 3 Paladin along a few times so you should be able to get through with a lvl 3. Part 5 is kinda tricky because ou cna't kill the big spider Shimmergloom, I think is her name.

I am back online after a week or so away. If you are lacking a fighter type let me know.

Re: Tangleroot Redux

OK, Lets shoot for 7:00 at the latest. I would go for earlier but I really want to go to and I, unfortunately, have a previous family engagement that I can not break again.

NOW.. that being said.. feel free to go without me if you want to do it earlier.. I have NO problem with that. Regardless of how the quest turns out, I have no problem doing it in chunks as I have time.

AND.. If I am not in at 7 - go without me.

Re: Tangleroot Redux

Yes, I didn't make it back until late myself. I will probably spend some time on it this week.
