Re: Week Trial
My trial came to a rather abrupt and ungracious end. I was convinced that something broke, but it could very well have been the end of my 7 days.
I had a blast, am pretty sure I'll sign up, but not for a few weeks...I'm going to be on the road with very little time to play so I'm going to hold off a bit.
It was lot's of fun...I found some of the groups I played with went through the adventures blazingly fast...a little too fast for my liking. I like to pause every now and then to smell the grey ooze.
Thanks much to Drizzid and SloppyJoe as well...
Cheers.

Today is the last day of my trial period but had a great time adventuring with eGoatboy and Sloppy. I don't know if I will sign up due to the fact that you can't do much with companions and it's hard to find good ones of there are no TG'ers logged in,
The servers seem to need a bit of boost as eGoatboy and Sloppy seemed to have some lag issues. I had some but not as much as they did. I got my Pali to 2nd level which was my goal but haven't been able to utilize his new abilities
Thanks eGoatboy had a blast adventuring with you your a great team player

Weak, I'm so weak. I bought DDO tonight.
There must be a number I can call for help...1-800-GET-LIFE.
P8triot...might as well keep me on the Guild list...Elladan (and others) will be back in Tharashk soon.
Cheers.

Re: Week Trial
Wow a trial. I though those ended a long time ago. I wanted to try the game because it didn't look as cartoony as WOW and it looks more indept.

Re: Week Trial
My week is done and I'm not sure how to get a new key, I go to click upgrade and it asks me for a key. Why is it asking me for a key when it should be asking me for my credit card?

I am not too sure but I think the intention is that you buy the box - which is OK too, because if you buy the box, you then have the option of loading the high definition graphics package (it's a whole ne install, FYI). You don't have to get your credit card out immediately for the monthly fee either.. I believe 30 days is included with the box.
You might check, the online retailers might e-mail a key to you to use while waiting for the box to arrive - that might've been a limited offer though releated to pre-launch.

Re: Week Trial
I have a question. Is this game a case of running round madly and everyone trying to kill as many monsters as possible? The reason I ask is I installed diablo II recently and did some multiplayer and it is moronic. Everyone jst legs it around as fast as they can go grabbing everything they can get.
Presumably TG D&D is a little more structured and team orientated.

Re: Week Trial
Jex,
When i played the majority of public play was exactly that. Just rush through it as fast as possible. There are some tactics to be utilized though, and i think your best chance is with the guys here.

Re: Week Trial
They are two entirely different game styles. In diablo, you shred your way to a boss and hope for a good drop. Also, you don't need to group. In DDO, you need a group and you need people to play their roles effectively. Some people do try to run through things, but they usually end up getting punished (and rightfully so) by a killer trap, monsters, or a group that just won't put up with it at higher levels.
