What can I say except
WOW. I was sure we were headed for a disaster last night by only taking a party of 4.. later to become 3 into the Splinter Skull quests - pleasantly my fears were heartily proven unwarranted.
Loris, Phil, Scamlin, and I
pounded through the extensive cave network that is the backdrop for the first 6 chapters of the quest with no problems and really setting a wonderful example of how mature, methodical gameplay and tactics can see us through some tough spots.
Even after Scamlin (AKA Mongo777) had to leave (which we knew beforehand), it seems like we faced daunting numbers of Hobgoblins, Worgs, and Giant Spiders (Loris HATES spiders) in waves upon waves - but we prevailed every time. It was like we all knew
exactly where we had to be and what we had to do every single time.
All I can add to this is GREAT job guys!
We talked about getting together for the rest of the Tangleroot Gorge series earlier in the day on Saturday (4 or 5 pm? earlier?) if any of our D&DO crew is interested and ready with lvl 4,5 or 6 characters. After that, we talked about hooking up a little later in the evening for some Tactical Poker.
Overall - if you are going to be on this weekend, let everyone know.. I know I will be around the server more often than usual this weekend.
