Dystopia Server Online
I've set this up on my personal machine. I've given the RCON password in the Supporting Members forum. Having no idea what kind of resources this server consumes, I've set it to 16 players for now.

The server should automatically restart if it crashes. This should hold us over until Apophis evaluates the possibility of putting a TG server online.Steam Community? Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Re: Dystopia Server Online
For some reason, I can't find this server. I tried adding the ip
ort to my "favorites" list, and I looked for it by name, with no luck...

Re: Dystopia Server Online
I'm with Cing, I've been searching for it and can't find it by IP in "Favorites" or by name in the normal browser. I even went in and checked IPs on all the plainly named "Dystopia" servers and didn't get a match.

I'm downloading the game now, it looks quite promising. Hopefully it lives up to what the creators said about it requiring teamwork. Thanks for putting up a server Wyz.

Re: Dystopia Server Online
The server is down for a bit, for BF2 testing. I imagine it will be re-enabled later today/tonight.

Re: Dystopia Server Online
Also, I might have an explanation for it not appearing in server browsers when it IS online. Last night, when I first put the server up, I had full monitoring and admin abilities with HLSW. As the night went on, the server showed higher and higher pings in HLSW, despite the fact that my and everyone else's ping in the game remained reasonable.
Eventually, HLSW showed the server as timed out, when in fact 16 of us were enjoying great games all the while.
I would recommend to anyone showing the server offline and NOT having a reason (like BF2 testing) to think it IS to attempt an actual connection to the server's address (remember, port 27016).

Re: Dystopia Server Online
Was the Dystopia server down at 0400 EDT this morning? That's when I tried to join from the Dystopia/Steam in game browser.

Re: Dystopia Server Online
Random question, and I'll google it, but is there an easy way to make HLSS work on Dystopia? I have a very good reason, and would not abuse it

Re: Dystopia Server Online
So figure out HLSS and load it up. Just don't annoy anyone.
