Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

Re: Map progress report

I think playing the same map, over, and over, and over, and over again started getting a bit stale for most of us

For me It's just 'cause I'm not around to play much anymore. Work graveyard, 11pm-7am, sleep most of the day, gaming time is much smaller than I'd like it to be

Dys_fortress is now in rotation on the server. You can download the map from source-db.com.

Re: Map progress report

Any reason why the server doesn't automatically send us the new map?

Re: Map progress report

It should automatically send the maps on connect. The problem is that fast downloads is not enabled, so you are looking at a few minutes of download time,

Re: Map progress report

Well, when I connected and it switched to fortress, I was kicked for not having the map. I had to manually download it. Anyway, can we start scheduling games until we get enough traffic for them to be regular occurances?

oops, the default max file size for downloads was too small. Its fixed now, and I set up fast downloading for dys_fortress. Please let me know if this doesnt work for anyone.

Re: Map progress report

There are 2 more maps to try there, one is another version of fortress and probe.

http://www.source-db.com/files/dys-maps.php

also some dm type ones which might not be bad.

Re: Map progress report

Whoo, maps. I may have to try this out then. I heard "one map" and immediately lost interest. That would be like playing cs_office 24/7. Yuck.

Re: Map progress report

I put the updated version of fortress on the server as well as probe. There are also some DM maps on the server, but they are not in rotation. I tried playing the DM maps in the past, but the consensus was to just play vaccine instead.

I gave probe a walk through the other day, and it seemed a bit too large so I didn’t put it on the server. We can give it a try, and ill remove it if people wish.

Please give me feedback on these new maps. My time for gaming is limited at the moment, so I haven’t had much of a chance to test these.

Re: Map progress report

Just out of curiousity, would it be possible to have a ? system similar to NS's? Like, when the scoreboard shows the names, unregistered players have a ? in front?
