Wearing the TG tag is a privilege reserved for those who know, understand, and embrace the rules and principles of the community.

With that said, by definition, players who wear the tag play with maturity and respect for all others on the server. They put the concerns of the team over that of their own. They consider the impact their loadout will have on the team and not their own score. They defend the decker even when an immediate threat is not present. In short, they play with respect, maturity and teamwork.

If that is not true, then the wrong people are wearing the tag.

Re: Tags..a mark of shame or a badge of courage??

Players at TG need to remember that working with your team and communication is not all that TG is about. I've been here for quite some time and I've seen some of the best NS, CS, BF1942, BF2, and even Dystopia players pass through this community. But, I also came to conclusion later on that not all of these outstanding players make outstanding TG members. We've lost a good amount of those people over the years, but I believe our community is stronger for it.

TG players are apart from the norm because we show maturity and respect at all times. We're better than the average pub in that we do everything we can to put on a mature front, because that's what we are: a group of mature individuals.

I don't care how much the person may deserve it. They could be the most profane, idiotic, TKing little prick that ever existed on this earth: you will always treat all players with respect on our server. You will not TK them for revenge and you will not call them names because we do not let our members sink down to that level.

There are numerous ways in which to handle abusive and immature players. You might have been justified in TKing a blocking player, but if all the admin sees is your TK and your bad attitude, you're going to have action taken against you.

If you want quick admin action: you are going to have to take time out of your busy schedule and use one of the many methods available to you to deal with the problem player in a mature and respectful manner. Saying "X needs to be kicked" is NOT one of those methoods.

PS: because of the issues the other night, I am dropping my prefered Dystopia alt "CaptainChaos" and am going back to [TG]TheFeniX.

EDIT: PPS, dropping the TG tag will not save you from having to act like an adult on the TG server. I (and the other admins) know who the regs are. We know who understands TG SOP. And we know how to deal with it.
