After much deliberation, TG has decided to take down the Dystopia server. Ever since I took over as Game Officer, I've felt that we've been on probation. Having our early start from an influx of Natural Selection players is a great beginning, but Dystopia had to stand on it's own here at TG.

It's been and up and down trek. Our server would bustle with activity for stints, then sit quiet for a time. Everyone eagerly awaited the release of V1 in a hope to revitalize Dystopia, and it did... for a while. Even with the stigma the general Dystopia community has for TG style of play and rules, the server was full and many great games were had during this period.

Now the server sits empty again. I'm sure we could all spit-ball excuses for why it's empty, but at this point: I'm really not interested.

I ran TG Dystopia in the best way I could while still keeping in mind the ideals of TG. And I can let it die knowing I put in all the time and effort I was able to. But what it all comes down to is TG Dystopia's ability to stand on it's own here. It just couldn't do it. We were unable to bring in the Supporting Members without compromising our ideals (and I doubt that would have made a difference either) and that's fine.

While I've had less and less time to devote to TG over the past year, I found it less and less fulfilling as players came and went and most of my time online was spent handling administrative tasks. And that tends to take the fun out of the game.

I would like to thank:
1. My admin team for doing the best they could considering the circumstances.
2. Apophis for generously donating the time and resources to try and make Dystopia a success at TG.
3. The Tactical Gamer community for doing what they could to get involved.

It's been a hell of a ride guys. Good Times.......

It has been a great ride, no doubt about it. I loved being a part of the admin team, which did a great job!

Thanks Apophis... and thanks TheFenix. You guys definitely gave a lot of time and effort into Dystopia. You had great patience and were willing to give it a fair shot. Thanks so much!

It is sad to see it go... but it's probably for the best. Thanks guys and good luck with everything you do!
