try typing this in your console:
bind k kill then go back to the game and press k... I must warn you that if you already have a command bound to 'k' you should consider a different key as it will change your old key assignment. Anyway I am curious to know why you think its "cheating"?

Oh ok, sweet.
I guess I thought it might be cheating since you're cleverly avoiding the catastrophie of a FF cortex. But I figure you're gonna die anyway, and adding annother team member to the quene doesnt much help you either. So I suppose it's the lesser of two evils. Thanks guys, ~Renagade

Its definitely a grey issue, but I sit in the "justifiable aciton" camp. My supporting argument being this : it's active participation on your part to prevent avoidable TK or FF. I dont believe its against the rules to suicide at any time, as denying the enemy a kill doesnt do anything for you, since your death adds to the respawn timer no matter what. Also, Im fairly positive that if your'e stuck in a room with several teammates, and there is no way you can get far enough away to kill them, that TG would make a rule that says "you -must- stand there and TK your teammates". And, seing as to how a rule allowing you to suicide only when there was no chance of you getting out of range of your teammates would be itself vague and hard to enforce, I imagine that /kill to stop cortex TK will still be allowed. I personally feel that it makes gameplay more enjoyable, as nothing sucks as bad as getting TKed. But, I could go on all day like this. /me sticks Rules Lawyer Personality on back shelf.

Binding K to kill, or using the kill command to avoid suicide bomb detonation, has now been confirmed to be an engine exploit and not permitted. Take note of this thread, particularly the one post with lots of use of the word "pain" in it, to see the very real dangers of this implant. -Zephyr
