ET:QW is greatly enhanced with talking teamwork !

Step 1 : Register a TacticalGamer forum account

• To join Tactical Gamer teamspeak you must register a forum account
• click here to register a froum account

Step 2 : Download teamspeak and set up a connection

Step 3 : Set up a 'push to talk' key

• Click 'Settings' / 'Sound Input/Output Settings'

• Select 'Push to talk'
• Click button 'Set' and press your 'push to talk' key
• Select test codec 'Speex 25.9Kbit'
• Click 'Activate local test mode' to test your push to talk key

Step 4 : Set up keybinds for teamspeak

• With key binds you will be able to change teamspeak channels while in game eg switch from 'GDF' to 'Strogg'
• Load teamspeak and connect to the TG server
• Click 'Settings' / 'Key settings'

• Click 'Add'

• For key combination click the 'set' button
• Set key combination as 'CTRL' & 'SHIFT' & 'E'
• Under action set to 'Switch to' 'Channel' 'Enemy Terrotiry : Quake Wars'
• Click 'Ok'
• This has set up the first of 4 keybinds

• Repeat the above to set up 3 more key binds
• Tip : to find the subchannel 'GDF' first type in 'Enemy' and the sub channel appears in the scroll menu
• For subchannel 'GDF' set key combination as 'CTRL' & 'SHIFT' & 'G'
• For subchannel 'Strogg' set key combination as 'CTRL' & 'SHIFT' & 'S'
• For subchannel 'Lobby' set key combination as 'CTRL' & 'SHIFT' & 'L'
• You will now have set up the 4 keybinds, one for the main channel and 3 for the subchannels

Step 5 : Change sound notifications

• Click 'Settings' / 'Options'

• Select tab 'Sound Notification'
• Click 'Disable all sounds'
• Click 'Ok'
• You could choose to keep some sound notifications and mute others (mute by clearing the wave file)
• A popular setup is to just keep the sound notification for 'switched channel' so that you get feedback that your channel switch was successful

Step 6 : Test changing teamspeak channel in game

• Test your teamspeak channel switching while playing ETQW
• IMPORTANT : You must join the main channel 'Enemy Territory : Quake Wars' and then switch to a sub channel
• From any channel in teamspeak you can switch to the main channel 'ET:QW'
• From the main channel you can switch to a sub-channel eg 'GDF'
• From a sub-channel you can switch to another sub-channel eg 'GDF' to 'Strogg'
