Re: New to TG? Check in here!

Well, I suppose its about time I posted an introduction.

My story is very similar to Greyluke's. I randomly stumbled across TG through the 2142 server, and like so many others, I was spoiled to the point of being unable to play anywhere else.

After about 300 hours with 2142 the game started to lose its appeal (playing without a TG squad was no fun, and playing with one the game was almost too easy). ETQW seemed like it had a good bit of TG support, so...here I am.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing some good TG-filled games every Sunday.

Nice to squad up with you and the other Tg'ers last night. I went to the other team when I saw all of us playing on the same side though..

This morning I went to a random pub server and used my mic.....for the next 15 minutes I fielded questions about how I was talking in game.... made me chuckle.

Re: New to TG? Check in here!

Reporting in. Not new to TG but new to ET:QW.

I haven't actually hit the TG server yet but that's only because I got the game last weekend and am doing a bit of SP practice before I hit the MP environment. I'd like to just be marginally clueless as opposed to a complete n00b. :P I look forward to playing with you all!

Re: New to TG? Check in here!

Just got it today off steam (20% off ). I need a good action oriented teampwork game and i know ET:QW wont let me down. I played the beta and demo a LOT so i know pretty much allt here is to know. Im gonna try some games against bots to get me caught up on the maps and then i see you guys in my sights tonight.

great to hear snail. I know the game is facing some stiff competition from other recently relesed games. The good side of this is that ETQW is landing in the bargin bin in a lot of places. The steam sale is nice. We have brought the quality of play up from the demo considerably, but we still have a ways to go before we are at a level that most TGers will be happy with. We are a small, but growing community.

Re: New to TG? Check in here!

i just grabbed this from Steam too. I've been playing BF2142, TF2, COD4 and now ET:QW. I'm a total noob at ET:QW, haven't tried the demo or nothing. I'm excited though, it looks like a well-polished game and the classes and teamwork is what appeals to me.

See you in-game.
