Et:qw:tips
I didn't see one, so I figured I'd create it. I don't have any tips to offer since I just started playing it yesterday. MAJOR learning curve at first, but after a while of playing it becomes mostly second nature. I noticed something though, and this tip has nothing to do with the game itself, but I was dreaming about playing it just now before I woke up, and something I've noticed is that I seem to get a little bit better at any game if I dream of playing it. I think dreams play a big part in hardwiring the motions and awareness needed to play games, or any more mental activity that doesn't involve real physical movement.
Anyway, if you've got some tips to share, post them here. Maybe it'll get nice and fat and it can be stickied.

Re: Et:qw:tips
My tip is to try and use most of your loadout for your class, this goes especially for the specops/infiltator. This class is way more versetile then it appears, it tends to get used just becouse of the long range killing power of the sniper rifle but I hardly ever see other players use the spydrone/thirdeye camera or transporter/smoke grenade.
The strogg technician can create spawnhost and I think players should pay a bit more attention to selecting spawnhost and creating them when the are tecnicians.
The Fieldops is very good at long range firesupport but you tend to forget that your team needs you to supply them with ammo.
Thes are but a few examples on how you can help your team just that extra bit better, by using those abilleties so that people can depend on them, making the game more teamwork oriented.

Re: Et:qw:tips
best tip I have at this point besides obvious things is to work on a single class as much as you can for the entire campaign.
The campaigns are such that tha average player should be able to gain level 4 unlocks in a single class by the start of the 3rd map (acording to the developers).
I have found an excelent resource for the game is http://4newbies.planetwolfenstein.ga...ETQW/index.php

Re: Et:qw:tips
Just a heads up, I'm working on a TGU module for ET:QW, so if you'd like to help, please do so! At the moment, I'm working on how I want to break down the class and teach what when, but I need a some help with specifics. Here's a short list:
I need someone who is good at flying.
I need a proficient Covert Ops and/or Infiltrator.
I may need a proficient Field Ops and/or Oppressor.
I'll update you guys as I get things sorted out, but don't hesitate to post a suggestion or PM me. Also, you can contact me on TS if you have an idea.
My goal is to have something fleshed out when I talk to Eroak, who heads up TGU.playing off the TG server feels like we're playing 2142 on easy mode~Fehmart

Re: Et:qw:tips
for a TGU module, what is required is people that know how to play and are willing to teach others.
This requires you to organize your thoughts and plan a lesson. You will be an instructor and will have students that are willing to learn.
This happens on a locked server with the instructor and students on teamspeak.

Re: Et:qw:tips
I'm willing to teach flying or Covops/Infiltrator. I've been playing since the first day of the beta and those are the roles I play the most. Covops isn't by choice, it's just because no one else seems to care about having a radar.

Re: Et:qw:tips
My tip is to start a game against bots at a low skill setting, and set them up so that they *do not* complete objectives. You can then go through the map at a leisurely pace, trying out the different classes and the objectives they have that are specific to that particular map.

Re: Et:qw:tips
Just an update if you are curious about the status of the TGU module (I know, I'm an attention-whore). I'm writing a lesson plan, but my ADD is keeping me from getting a lot done at a time. I'll try to get a preliminary plan up soon, so stay tuned! And thanks for the volunteers for intstructors guys, I'll be using you most likely.
One plan I'm toying with is to take advantage of the Spectate mode and have an FT on each side 'demonstrating' the techniques as we are explaining them. Not sure yet if I'll do it, but if you have ideas, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!playing off the TG server feels like we're playing 2142 on easy mode~Fehmart
