Thanks in advance
I think you are in a fireteam (leader) and then everything you spot will become a fireteam mission.

Ok after a quick experiment what I was doing wasn't wrong, it just threw me off that the central command in the comma rose said attack. But after actually clicking it, it instead did a spot.

People use the spawn hosts!!!!! when you see a spawn host just use(default is f ) like you would use a vehicle. Then the next time you respawn you will be at that body.

And if you're a GDF medic, zap those spawn hosts! Don't let Strogg spawn behind you!

How do you deploy the MPB? Twice now I've gotten it to the deployment point but had no idea what to hit to get it to deploy. I didn't see any popup saying what to do but those tend to flash by so fast that I miss them, and there's been very little time once I arrived before someone killed me and the MPB and I had to start my run again to repair it.

Once you get it into the deploy zone, a pop up will say 'press g to deploy'.
so basically just jump out once you get there and it will deploy itself in a few seconds.

And FYI, it's MCP.

you have to the put the mcp in the middle of the large green sqaure at the destinaiton point. you can usually take 2 routes to get to where you need to. you can drive it off course for about a minute before it will self destruct.

there is a control called handbrake/walk.

I think it may be unbound by defualt.

use it in the Anansi to stay in one spot while keeping the nose pointed down. use it to walk instead of run or sprint. this is good cause it is silent.

It's also very useful in the anansi for maneuvering since it will bring the chopper to a complete halt almost instantly, no matter how fast you're going. In the tormentor it applies reverse thrusters that slow it down, then make it move backwards slowly. In the bumblebee, it will move you backwards fairly quickly. In ground vehicles, it applies the handbrake, which is useful for making sharp turns. Binding it to something easy-to-get-to for vehicles (Use a context bind if you have to) makes it much easier to use while flying, since you'll be using it a lot. The command is "_speed". I use capslock.

Re: Get your ETQW newbie questions answered here !

After watching Silver's latest video and playing a few rounds I noticed not for the first time these large red areas on the mini-map around enemy deployables. I'm thinking these areas are the effective range of the deployable, and just need someone to clarify this for me.

Also how do you determine the range/red area? Do you need to spot the deployable? Or maybe shoot it/hack it/ etc.

Thanks in advance

Re: Get your ETQW newbie questions answered here !

The red area shows the field of fire that the deployable covers. I believe this is only shown with regard to Engineer/Constructor Deployables. The AP and AV turrets will display a cone, and the AIT is a circle. I am unsure as to when this appears, but I will tenatively suggest that you will see it if the deployable is within friendly radar range. Someone with a game that lets them connect to online services will be able to confirm.

Re: Get your ETQW newbie questions answered here !

Two Questions.

1. Minimap icons. Can someone point me towards a good 1-2 page summary of everything I need to know to understand the mini-map? I've watched the first two of the three 4Newbies videos and he didn't seem to cover it.

2. Keybinding. I'm a BF2 player. I'm going to remain a BF2 player. I hate having to learn different keys that do the same things in two different FPS's. So...what are the keys that BF2 guys have found most important to re-map. The "q" key for commorose in BF2 comes immediately to mind for me. I'd like to keep them the same, but of course don't want to give up "leaning left" in ET. Anybody have a "Re-bind these 10 keys and your world will come back in order." list?

Had this question for awhile now, just always forgot to post it. What is Battlesense exactly and how do you gain it?
