I feel in love with the soldier class yesterday.

The rocket launcher is just amazingly fun to use. Knocking out turrets, taking out tanks and aircraft, and killing groups of infantry.

This leaves me with the only class I am not interested in is Covert Ops.

Agreed best over all kit to pound the enemies defenses but always need ammo to keep it that way.

The soldier is the most criticized class - I've heard many people saying that it's useful or needs a buff. I disagree; it can be fantastic depending on how you use it. In addition to the versatility of the RL/oblit, the GPMG and hyperblaster are the deadliest infantry weapons in the game, and can easily mow down multiple enemies in a row. They're especially useful prone. Always use the sights with them.

Agreed Curly, the Soldier is the backbone of infantry combat, and ought to be your main assualting troops in Urban and Building combat, especially with Shotgun-equipped medics right behind. A group of 2-3 soldiers with 2-3 medics working together can roll even a prepared interior defense like the Contaminator on Valley. Outside, they lose some impact due to all the vehicles, but again, bring a launcher, and make some scrap metal.

Oh, and bring a Field Ops. You can never have enough ammo.

I don't think the soldier needs a buff. You basically need it for destruction objectives, he starts out with 10 more HP then the other classes, and he gets a nice variety of weapons.

The only class that is less then useful is the medic and field ops classes. That is only based on the objective sets of maps of course. You NEED the medical attention meds/techs can provide and the fire support/ammo that fieldops/oppressors provide is very useful.

Edit: A class that could use a boost is the technician. It's so hard to be a tech in a fire fight with that said I want it to stay that way.
