ETQW makes me hope that the next ET game is based on Doom.
Seriously imagine an NS like set up. Marines with a commander on one side vs demons on the other. Marines get everything from the starting pistol to assualt rifle all the way to plasma rifles and "mass production" BFGs. (to explain it being a weaker version) While the demons go from Imps and Cacodemons to Barons of Hell.

I think I smell an ETQW mod. You're basically just looking for maps, character and weapon models, and new sounds, right? Would it need anything else?

ETQW was build on a modified version of the Doom 3 engine, so doom 3 maps should easely be modified, same principal should go for the models and sounds.

I say the biggest obsticale in terms of programming would probably be getting the real time shadows in and making the marine commander mode.
