Supporting member reserved slots for ETQW

*We are testing this today, we will be working out any bugs as they appear. The Supporting Member script should be fully functional by the Nov 27th.*

The server is FULL at 22/24 players.

    The script does 2 things:
    • When a Supporting Member joins a full server, the non supporting member that has been on the server the longest will be removed
    • If a non Supporting Member connects to the server when it is 22/24 that player will be removed.

Supporting members can claim thier spot by:

You will first need to go to your userCP

Then you need to select edit profile:

Then you need to enter your ETQW account name. This will be the same as your player name, but without your tags or color codes.

Once you become a supporting member, it may take about 15 minutes for your name to enter our database.

Become a Supporting Member of TacticalGamer today!

Thanks and +rep to PanzerHans and Damonte for thier work on providing Supporting Member reserved slots for ETQW.

I didn't know that you could do that for ranked servers. Will this break autojoin? When the server's full, I'll usually set it on autojoin so I'll be able to get on when a slot's free, but if this bypasses it, getting onto the server will become very difficult for non-SM regulars.

Another concern is that the game is balanced for 12 v 12, and this would marginally unbalance it.

yeah, that's what i came to say.
if server is full i'll just leave auto-join on and watch tv till i get on.
it looks like now it will let you join and then kick you as soon as you get in.

This is an unfortunate side effect. It is not our intention to punish our regular non supporting members. If there was another reasonable way to provide access to the server for our members, we would do it.

We cant use private slots because they are nonfunctional at this point, and when they do become functional with the next patch, those slots that we kept private would stay empty until a SM used them. This is not a viable solution.

However, the flip side is that those members that choose to support us financially will not have to wait to get on to the server or worry about getting kicked off when a SM joins. This is just one of the benefits of a TacticalGamer supporting membership. We feel if you are helping to pay for the server, you deserve to play when you want.

I apologize to each of you who are negatively impacted by this.

the balance is good in the range of 12 vs 12. Reducing the teams to 11 vs 11 will hopefully result in less full defensive holds.

We discovered a bug. The SM program will be offline for a few days to a week. if you need a slot, contact an admin on teamspeak, or hit me up on Xfire.

The way that punkbuster and etqw has some technical issues that are sometimes problematic for the script. It is not working at the moment, but should be working soon. If you need a slot, find an admin. They are on teamspeak and some are on xfire.

I'm not a supporting member and I have no problem at all to be removed from your server when a paying customer arrives
But maybe you should look at the script.
I was playing on your server tonight and got kicked but there were people on the server who were playing much longer than me (including KingNED, thats why I'm sure).
As sayd, no problem for me, I will find another server and will be back tomorrow.
But it doesnt seem to work right.
