Wolf:ET interest ?

Any interest in an old school Wolf:ET game night? Nothing on a permanent basis, but it could be fun to dust off the tommy and kill some axis scum for times sake. I have not played in quite a while.

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is a FREE multiplayer game that is very similar to ETQW. It is a WW2 type setting with axis vs allies. It is a Quake 3 engine game with pretty low system demands. It has been around a while, but is still quite popular.

Re: Wolf:ET interest ?

I am down as well. How would this work though?

I think for the time being we should focus only on ETQW. Once we get a larger player base then we can have a few Wolf nights. TBH I wish we could also play the original RTCW MP. I will always prefer RTCW's sound. The VA on the quickchat was just so much better and same goes for weapon sound effects.

Re: Wolf:ET interest ?

I was thinking a one time casual deal just for old times sake. I would like to see how it compares to ETQW.

Problem with focusing on ETQW is the game is already dying. COD4 has stolen ALOT of the player base away and there wasn't much of one to start. I really love this game, its just then maps are a bit to small for the amount of vehicles per map. The best maps are the ones almost without vehicles. I think vehicles are fine, but there should be limited availability, and longer respawns.

I also agree about the vsays, however the new ones are fine if you map them out to keys instead of using the vsay menu.

This game is gonna die a slow death due to people not wanting to learn a cfg system. Which splash damage is used to the community taking a hold, and doing the work for them. They now realize that they should have delayed the release and waited till there personal comp mod was complete.

I know people around here are advocates of voip, I do not. Maybe I'm just old school, but I prefer higher sound quality of Ventrilo over any voip. Voip doesn't allow me to control the sound environment that I am in either. Screwed up mics, yelling, and constant talking are a problem with open ended system of communication.
