Note the above first two sentence were "USELESS" except to be a Smart arse.... Perfectly friendly banter till you jumped in with that...

But your Review was very nice indeed...

Re: Nostromo n52 ET:QW

...sorry 'bout the rant... just keep reading thread after thread looking for the meat of the subject... My "useless" stab however wasn't pointless! I'm reading n52 praise or is it awe??? from people that haven't even used it. I thought I should at least explain some of the drawbacks of the device. I think my review is fair, and critique sound. It's not the greatest thing in the world... you don't have to drool over it, and the advantages are going to vary wildly between users. Not a bad risk for under $20 though... and the ergo factor alone may make it a no brainer. If you game more than a couple hours a week, your wrists should already be screaming "Help!"

We tend to have a bit of friendly banter at times, Jelly. no worries. I think this would get more proper treatment if it was dropped in our hardware forum.

btw, searching TG forums turns up 88 nostromo hits.

Re: Nostromo n52 ET:QW

I have been using the n52 for about 3 years now, it now has strange smoothness of an over fondled worry stone or pocket watch. The lettering has long since worn away and the switch in the rectangle thumb button is almost shot, the orange button never worked right. I have had to tear it down for cleaning every 6 months or so. I even have to use a small keyboard without a number pad just so there is room on my desk for it.

And given all of that, you will have to pry it out of my cold dead hand!
Unless you were sliding one of the fancy new BLUE LED ones under it.

I have been using it for so long I don't think I could play without major retraining of muscle memory and wrist pain. Being able to place it anywhere on the desk makes prolong play sessions possible.

I'm curious sc1ence, how do you like the n52? If memory servers, I turned crux onto his, but it could have been waffle...
