not interested in vehicles?

I am not saying they are bad it's just that the infantry combat is so deep and so good that I just have no interest in using the tanks and such.

I go through phases. Generally, I would prefer less of them. I love the infantry combat. But I do think they keep the game fresh. I think they should be less powerful in general. sometimes they are just a nuisance, and others, they dominate.

if it wasn't for the tormentor / anasi, i probably wouldn't be playing right now.
i got so burned out on infantry combat during the betas, that learning how to fly was the only thing that brought me back.

also, at times infantry combat can be incredibly frustrating if you have a lousy, unresponsive team who are just piddling around.
i like that i can hop in a plane and not have to worry about my team supporting me to get something done, as its just me up there flying around.

plus its a ton of fun using a PS2 controller to fly. i often find myself leaning way over in my chair during sharp banks and dog fights.

I have just started to use the vehicles. I wanted to become somewhat more familair with infantry before I started. I had a blast using the tanks last night and I know that I will not be flying anything due to lack of skill. I still prefer the INF combat, but it is good to take a break every now and then. Even when I was in the tank, I kept on thinking that I should have been doing something else.

I think the vehicles and infantry are nicely balanced. If you hop in a vehicle and just plow into the action without regard for your safety you aren't going to last long. Plus there is of course a lot of action which happens indoors which is infantry only.

What drives me crazy is when I'm on a team which is not using them...especially the Titan in the case of the GDF. Used properly, vehicles can be the difference in achieving an objective...or not.

With out vehicles the map would be full of deployable APTs on the defending side making it harder to complete the objective. This is my first quake game I come from playing death match AVP 2 which gets boring fast moving to BF2 which needed a lot of work but yet gave SD ideas to improve on with ET. wolf to create QW the best flavor on FPS online.
