AAR ~ Area 22 ~ Dec 16th 7.45pm EST
After Action Report (AAR) ~ Area 22 ~ Dec 16th 7.45pm EST
Had a great few games, I really enjoyed Area 22 defending the last objective
We had 4 in my fireteam
2 engineers
> myself
> Devious
2 medics
> Capt Krusty
> FriedCoD
Our defence was solid and then, you guessed it, the last minute push blew us apart !

Lovely trip mine I set

Looks fantastic this objective

They planted explosives and a pesky icarus blow up the engis trying to disarm

Nice write up Silver, I only with I was present to asist in your defense. This is exactly why I chose Area 22 for the scrim map. Congrats to you all for a nice attempt. What do you think you fellas could have done in the last minute to prevent the explosion?

Yes, it was a good game.
The Strogg got the generator blown and laser built rather quick so I thought the game would not last for long but there I got a nice surprise.
On that map I like to play as an Engineer or Medic but we did not have any Covert Ops to keep a radar up so I ended up being one and stayed outside at the end to make sure the radar was running and Strogg's was not and to keep a couple of them occupied with retaking and holding their forward spawn point.
Well done for the excellent defense of the gate!

Re: AAR ~ Area 22 ~ Dec 16th 7.45pm EST
woot! awesome best field ops and best medic + most damage muwahahaha! ><
thats why you just toss a third eye atop the hill so the radius covers both enterances to the objective room... although its not much radar cover, its sufficient i think, so we can have another rifle downstairs..we did not have any Covert Ops to keep a radar up so I ended up being one and stayed outside
we lost cause near the end, i think they had like a pair of hyperblasters up in the catwalk/ the frame that goes above.. im not sure, but it seemed like that, cause man, was some real heavy fire coming at us at the end there, and i had n clue where from x(

My head hurts...
You should have heard the smack I gave myself on the head when I read FriedCoD's reply. That is exactly how I usually use the third eye, just toss it in some out of sight spot to get the radar coverage in a critical spot. I just don't understand why I did not do it on that map.
FriedCoD: thank you for pointing out to me this to me.

Re: AAR ~ Area 22 ~ Dec 16th 7.45pm EST
I played a few enjoyable round today and my ping didn't bother me, but that's because I played somewhat more on the background.(BF style)
When I play the way I most like it...that's fast forward sticking my nose in the thick of things...(quake style) my ping causes trouble.
