You have to remeber that Quake Wars is mostly outdoors while Doom 3 was indoors (I don't know about Quake 4) so it will take a little more power to run it smoothly than it would take to run Doom since there is more visible stuff to render.

Well of course, but you still just may need to drop a few settings.

According to this poll we have enough for a min of 22 players assuming we get a demo.

Re: I would like to gauge TG interest in Quake Wars.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that number of players. TG often drives its own interest in games and thus dramatically changes the interest level. This is something we've not done with QW yet, but I would wager that you'll have a LOT more than 22 interested people once we start marketing/promoting the game internally. But at least 22 is a start!

Question is how good teamplay is. If its good it could be a nice compliment of the battlefield genre.

I will probably get this game whether or not it takes off at TG. However this depends on how well is runs on my rig. I don't think I will upgrade in order to play it.

Re: I would like to gauge TG interest in Quake Wars.

I played QW's at E3 this year and it was pretty fun and the graphics were impressive, alot of attention to detail. I did not really get a feel of how squad based it's centered as I only played around two rounds. Hopefully it will play like the Battlefield series, emphasis on teamwork.

I never really played the Quake series to any extent so it felt a bit "faster" than say BF2. Hope it can find a home here at TG.

This game is going to own, hands down. I've never played Quake or ET and I am definitely getting this game. It forces you to work as a team.

Re: I would like to gauge TG interest in Quake Wars.

Personally I think that QW:ET will be a tad arcadey for TG, but a good source of overall fun anyways. Even the developers say it will play similar to RTCW:ET since its built around that concept of gameplay with influences from things like CoD:UO and the BF series.

If its anything like RTCW:ET then I may have to recreate my favorite battlecry of all times from that game.

If that's not realism for you, I don't know what is because you have to have balls of steel to play a battle medic in that game.

Here's hoping for a MP demo for QW:ET so we can give it a shot.

Re: I would like to gauge TG interest in Quake Wars.

I'm pretty interested in this title but it is going to depend on TG's support. I simply can't play multiplayer games away from TG anymore.

I also won't be upgrading for this title. Doom3 played very well on my machine so I don't expect any problems. I simply won't have the funds this year for an upgrade.
