I have to say the game runs like friggin butter on a hot day for me. It was so smooth I felt like I did back in the day on quake 3. Anyway it seems to be a lot of fun and I love me some quake.

Aye they've cleared it up somewhat over at the official forums. They're also working on a slew of fixes (following their most recent update) to improve the netcode, hit detection, performance, and to squash assorted bugs.

Feedback for the latest patch:
-Much less lag thanks to the server memory leak fix
-Most server browser issues seem resolved
-PB now enabled to deal with the hackers already ruining the game
-Hit detection is better, but still not great

Well it's nice to see this is an actual beta instead of a "check out our game so you can buy it 2 weeks later" kind of thing. And another map will be nice

. This is what I hated about BF2142 beta, it was basically a demo of the game with only one map.

Does anyone else get disconnected almost every time a round ends? Cause I do and its annoying as hell.

And what's with the exp resetting after every 2ish maps? Nobody ever gets to try the 3rd and 4th tier unlocks =/

Crtl + Alt + ~ to open console
Type in "reconnect"
Hit enter

You should be back in time to keep your experience.

Yeah but that doesn't change the servers resetting everyone's exp after like 3 rounds, which makes it impossible to get the 4th tier unlocks and most of the 3rd

Well that's part of the game. Upon the completion of each "campaign," XP is reset.

Seems to reset too fast then, I've never seen anyone get past 350 exp in a game and most of the time it's around 300. And that's barely enough to get 3rd upgrade if you focus on one thing only.

A dev at the official forums mentioned that the campaigns would last longer than three rounds with multiple maps. I think it will work as best of 3 for 3 maps, so up to nine rounds. I need to find that post again so I can verify it.

yeah, the campaigns will last much longer than in the beta, so it will be much easier to unlock everything.

I'm really enjoying beta 2, the improvements they have made are very noticable. This map is loads more diverse, and much bigger than the first map. Very enjoyable.

It's nice to play 10 rounds with snail, and can't even get him to notice me.

i noticed ya...i was just too busy figurin out things. and boy do you get angry easily in game

map is cool. it does really take teamwork to win. And it still sux you cant get the top tier unlocks. Its a lot easier to understand the rewards system this time too. Im not sure im gonna buy it though since theres way better games (imo) coming out and im stretched thin on cash

I'll be buying it surely. Its my gamestyle. Hell Ya I get pissed in game.
