Re: Any chance for a TG server?
I guess I will have to do my homework on this, I just hate not having a game intuitive enough. It would be fine if VOIP was there, but it isn't.

Re: Any chance for a TG server?
There's always TeamSpeak. What ever did you guys do before BF2 and its integrated VoIP? Just fire up TeamSpeak and get on the server and voila! You'll be able to talk to your teammates!

Re: Any chance for a TG server?
You can also mock the opposition which is just as much fun.
Any particular reason why the server is set to senario instead of campaign? The 60 minute rounds are great, but only having 1 round to play with the XP unlocks kinda makes takes away from the selling point of the game.

Re: Any chance for a TG server?
Speaking of the server setup, I'm sort of confused as to how the teams are competing. With such long rounds - it seems the GDF should almost always eventually win. I thought this was supposed to be more like UT Assault mode where after the first team assaults, the sides switch and the previously defending team now assaults and attempts to beat the time of the first team.

The round times are 45 minutes, but I am looking to increase the round count to take more advantage of the unlocks.

Re: Any chance for a TG server?
Could we have bots as well? It's quite boring sitting around on an empty server hoping to seed it... I'm not 100% sure but I think the bots get gradually replaced by real players as they join.

Re: Any chance for a TG server?
I believe that is true zib.
I have noticed something as much as I want VOIP. I noticed last night that no one was using the quickchat binds. For those that don't know if you press V you bring up a quick chat menu that you can use. Also if you click on your mouse wheel this brings up an even more detailed quick chat bind menu.

Re: Any chance for a TG server?
I think in time we'll find that 45 minutes is too long, but for now it offers time for players to learn and experiment with strategies without feeling pressure from the clock.

Re: Any chance for a TG server?
I pretty firmly believe that the longer round times combined with longer spawn times will help put people on the right track with this game. I don't want to condense the whole game down into short rounds that reward frantic behavior over well planned behavior.

Re: Any chance for a TG server?
I agree with not condensing the game into short rounds, I just picture the defense having a tough time lasting 45 minutes once the offense gets their act together.
Are the objective times adjustable?... meaning time to hack the shield, the fuse on the explosives, etc. If those were extended, it would go nicely with longer spawn times. If objective times stay short and spawn times are long, it makes it that much easier for the attackers to complete their task before the defense is able to regroup. Extending the time required to complete an objective would also emphasize the need for offensive players to defend teammates as they construct/hack/detonate.
