    Re: Helpful EvE Links

All of these are GREAT PHREAKING LINKS from:
    Grismar's EvE wiki

Props to gunjunkie for leading me there...

NOTE: IGB = In-Game Browser. You can use those links in-game. Big smile, now.

    Popular Articles
InstaJumps - How to make and use instajumps
SecurityStatus - Security (both systems and players)
StandingSystem - About standing, quality - and agent missions
TrustPage - About trust in the IGB.
FrequentlyAskedQuestions - Sit in HelpChannel ingame, and you'll see these questions.

    Tools (IGB)
EVE Explorer - A very full-featured searchable database of systems, stations, agents, corporations, complexes and npc trade items. Based on data as released by the developers.
EVE Navigator - Use the navigator when you're smuggling, need to avoid specific systems or just want to know the distance between 2 systems. Better at complex planning than the autopilot.
Complexes - Search the database for complexes (faster than the explorer, but less features).
True Security - Search the database for the TrueSecurity of systems (faster than the explorer, but less features).
ShowInfo - Get links to the ingame item info, on any item in the database, including most rare drops.
Pirates and NPCs - List damage and resistances and other stats of almost any NPC ship you'll meet.

    Tools
Shiftwindow - ShiftWindow is a tool to position the EVE window to look and feel like fullscreen, while running windowed.
Scanaid - ScanAid - is a tool that projects labeled concentric circles over your EVE client, to help with scanning.
QuickFit - QuickFit is a very nice simulator to test fitting on your ships, taking everything into account. Cap use, skills, you name it. Nice piece of work and something best done -outside- the browser.
CamStudio - Use CamStudio as a free (and open source) alternative to the popular Fraps - for recording ingame movies. Fraps gets better framerates and has more options, but costs $37.

    Essential Websites
EVE-Online.com - CCP's official EVE Online website, check it out in detail.
Battle Clinic - Battle Clinic is a very popular KillBoard.

I'm finding this useful for planning complex runs. Great readable complete 2d maps of all eve regions condensed into 1 pdf file. Shows complexes and security ratings.

EvE is as much about information as anything else.... you will eventually fall behind... and then you will read them and catch up.

There is a ton of CRUCIAL information out there. None of this stuff is wasteful. EvE is about a bazillion important details.

A shipsize comperison chart can be found here.

OMG these Titans really do there name justice.

    http://www.eve-files.com/media/12/eve_chart-rmr.jpg

    But check out the costs:
Of course, all of these powerful bonuses will cost you a lot of money. The blueprint alone for each titan is well in excess of sixty five billion ISK, and that is excluding the cost of the component blueprints. The skill for the titans costs just under five billion, and the ships, which can only be constructed in 0.0 space cost over forty five billion to produce. Basically, these are incredibly expensive - they are ships that an alliance will have to work together to get. Only a very small number of people that play the game will ever get to fly one of these ships. As you can guess, I don't think these will ever be widely flown either. But, I do think we will all see them - when one flies around, everyone will take note.

Complete article can be found here:

Do we want one? Hell yeah. Are we likely to ever get one? Hmmmmmm.

Apparently these guys make a buttload of stuff, and sell it online. (Not for real money, just for in-game ISK)
Best of all, you can place online orders in-game.

This is a fantastic flash demo by Eve Themselves about how their weapon ranges, tracking speeds and accuracies work.
